Maureen has been a Social Worker and SHINE (Service Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) Counselor with PSS since 2004 providing assistance with money management, organizing and health insurance advice to Cambridge elders.
“I enjoy educating elders and their family members on resources and helping them navigate complex healthcare and public benefit systems. The options can be overwhelming, leading people to postpone making decisions that could make their life much easier.”
Maureen received her MSW from Boston University School of Social Work in 2000. She has been a Medical Social Worker for the Cambridge Health Alliance and a Geriatric Psychiatry Social Worker at Mount Auburn Hospital prior to joining PSS.
Maureen has been the Co-chair of Somerville/Cambridge Alzheimer’s Partnership. A board member of the Cambridge Council on Aging. Also a member the City of Cambridge Hoarding Coalition and Cambridge Elder Abuse Prevention Coalition (CEAPC). Maureen is currently a member of the Loan Advisory Committee for the Home Improvement Program (HIP) of Homeowners Rehab.
